Hunter-Wolff Gallery is pleased to offer the fine art of Patricia "Patrice" Dello-Russo. She finds inspiration for her representational paintings outside, in nature, where many of her artworks begin on location, or en plein air. She has been drawing and painting since childhood, where she grew up in Colorado. Patrice has lived most of her life in the mountains and western slope of Colorado where she finds abundant ideas for her art. An avid hiker, backpacker and outdoors woman, her understanding of nature and natural ecosystems has greatly influenced her subject matter. Her paintings typically depict the landscape and outdoor scenes, with a primary focus on birds and wildlife. Patrice has formally studied art both in the US and abroad in Florence, Italy. She continues to expand her art education through the camaraderie of painting with other artists and by both teaching workshops. Patrice currently divides her time between residences in Crested Butte, Colorado and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Patrice has received recognition and awards for her art through regular participation in national and international juried shows, plein air events, and invitational exhibits, as well as solo shows. She has received many awards for both her studio paintings and her plein air works. Patrice is a member of the Oil Painters of America, the American Impressionist Society, Women Artists of the West, American Women Artists, and a signature member of the Plein Air Artists of Colorado.
