TISH COLLINS
Hunter-Wolff Gallery is pleased to offer today's contemporary woman jewelry made by Colorado artist, Tish Collins. She constantly develops new ideas to elevate her jewelry and keep it fresh and original. Known for her layering of acid etched steel with mixed metals, she now blends her metalsmithing skills with her love of bold and colorful painted geometrics bringing the perfect merge of her two passions.
Tish's journey into her painterly technique has allowed her to continue to introduce unique elements into this process, such as sculptural maple wood, while extending the depth of her work further. The use of these new materials and original techniques, assembled in complex combinations, allows the wearer to connect with the artist's perspective.
Tish Collins’ collection of wearable art is hand fabricated from distressed, oxidized and patterned metals. Necklaces are suspended from chains formed with iron wire, natural stone and glass beads. In some items, original images are inserted into "windows"...each piece is completely unique. Tish says, "I am proud to create wearable art for those who view the world from different perspectives." Is that YOU?!
