ArtistMARLENE KORT
Description
Created and inspired after Gustav Klimt's painting, the Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer (a long-standing patron of Klimt)—often called The Lady in Gold or The Woman in Gold—between 1903 and 1907. The iconic masterpiece features gold and silver leaf and is considered the crowning achievement of the Austrian symbolist's "golden phase". Marlene used the same techniques to create her original painting using gold and silver leaf, taking 9 months to complete this 40x40 masterpiece.
